Maharashtra : A 23-year-old woman, Shweta Survase, tragically died on Monday after her car, which was in reverse gear, accelerated and plunged into a valley in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, according to police reports.
The incident occurred in the Sulibhanjan area in the afternoon. Survase was learning to drive while her friend, Shivraj Mule, recorded a video.
“Survase accidentally pressed the accelerator while the car was in reverse gear, causing the vehicle to slide backward, break through a crash barrier, and fall into the valley,”
a police officer explained.
Rescue teams took an hour to reach the scene and retrieve the vehicle.
